IDS 2023 will be co-located with "A Day of DNS Abuse Discussions" (4 September), also hosted by ICANN, and <a href="https://indico.dns-oarc.net/event/47/">OARC 41</a> (6-7 September), hosted by DNS-OARC.</p><p class=MsoNormal style='text-align:justify'><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal style='text-align:justify'>The theme for IDS 2023 is "The integration of DNS with emerging technologies".</p><p class=MsoNormal style='text-align:justify'><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal style='text-align:justify'>IDS2023 will focus on the integration of DNS with emerging technologies, exploring the challenges and opportunities associated with this integration, including challenges related to security. The symposium invites researchers, developers, and operators to present on subjects including, but not limited to, blockchains, IoT, and novel uses of the DNS, such as IP-to-location translation, blocklists, and so on.</p><p class=MsoNormal style='text-align:justify'><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal style='text-align:justify'>We are soliciting proposals for presentations. Please send a one-paragraph description of your proposed topic to <a href="mailto:ids-proposals@icann.org" title="mailto:ids-proposals@icann.org">ids-proposals@icann.org</a> by <u>14 August 2023</u>.
